Artist, Woman of Color, Parent
Immigrant, Storyteller, Cultural Worker
These categories define me, conflict within me, nurture me. I embody these roles but also many others and the spaces in between. I believe that true beauty lies in abandoning categories & existing free of definition.
A Utopian Idea? Yes.
But what is art if not creating worlds that did not exist before?
I am interested in the intersection between art & activism; art as a tool for social change & dismantling systems of patriarchy & colonization. Examining political, social & cultural constructs through the lens of dance & art.
I love creating works that allow you to escape into the realm of my imagination, a place of sublime beauty but also uncomfortable truths, sun & shadows, fantasy and reality.

Choreography
"Where this production really shines is in the dancing, with absolutely delightful choreography by Ishika Seth that is at once authentic and parodic. In several ensemble numbers one feels transported into a Bollywood video, in the best way." - Jeanie Forte (Palo Alto Weekly)
